Investing in our future

In our Children's Ministry, our mission is to help children find their way to God, connect with others, and contribute to changing the world. We believe that children have the capacity to walk intimately with God, and we love to see them learn about Him and connect with Him through Bible stories, songs, and crafts.


"Children are an heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court."                       Psalms 127:3-5

What about my children?

Children are valuable at VFBC! That said, we aim to be as welcoming as possible to children and their families.


We understand that raising children is tough, and we'd like to come along side of you as you do so for encouragement and growth. Don't worry about appearances or your child making a little bit of noise in church; we just want you here.


We strive to make our Children's Ministry a safe environment for your children to learn about God.

We have two nursery's available for children not yet old enough to attend the worship services. Baby Nursery for ages birth - 1 year old and Toddler Nursery for ages 2 - 3 years old.

Our nursery is located on the second floor.

Every Sunday morning we provide a safe environment for children from birth through fifth grade where they can learn about Jesus and connect with each other.


Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our ministry, and it’s an honor to serve with each and every one of them as they love on children each week! Every volunteer who leads in the Children's Ministry has had a background check and is committed to making the ministry a safe, Biblically relevant, and fun environment for your children.

AWANA for ages 2 - 12

AWANA CLUBS

  • Kids gather together for Bible teaching, worship, announcements, and awards. This is a great opportunity for kids to hear the gospel and Biblical truths. Enjoy singing and praising the Lord with other children.
  • Relationships and belonging begin in small groups as kids huddle up with a consistent leader from week to week to discuss Bible lessons, ask and answer important questions, pray together and complete handbooks.
  • A session of Awana Games, crafts, or other team-building activity help foster fun and encouraging relationships in the midst of the evening.
